On left-wing fascists Empty On left-wing fascists

Post by unhortodox Sat Mar 05, 2016 12:00 pm

Hi to all! I have been absent for more than a year from this forum.

D'you know that Palmiro Togliatti (the most famous leader of the Italian Communist Party) wrote an open letter to the left-wing fascists during the Mussolini's regime? The letter was entitled "to the brothers in black shirts". Togliatti, in brief, expressed the need to work with dissidents and anticapitalist fascists . In fact the communist leader expressed his admiration for the first fascist political manifesto (1919), later betrayed by Mussolini. Is possible today to think in the same terms ? The "left-wing" fascists (obviously I DON'T mean the reactionary factions, pro-WP or the ultra-christian conservatives ) can be considered allied against capitalism or not? I believe that the private property issue is a great obstacle. But the "red fascists" refuse financial capitalism and US imperialism. If I shoul describe these persons...I can define them as a sort of "national social-democrats" or "perònists".

Excuse if my english is not well and if I've posted the question in a wrong section.

I think you answer your own question! The right wing fascists were reactionary tools of capitalism, whereas the left wing fascists were brothers in the struggle fro freedom. The division is the same as the hitlerite capitalists versus the Strasserite Socialists.

Have you got a link for Togliatti's open letter? Please post if you can.

It is fascinating to find that there was an Italian counterpart to the Strasserism in Germany. The world would have been a better place if the Hitlerite capitalists and the same around Mussolini had been pushed aside so that the genuine revolution could have been fulfilled.
