Domestic Industrial Production
I think it's important to have a topic concerning the importance of domestic industrial production, as opposed to the globalized system that is bankrupting nations in the west today, with the scapegoat being "welfare" and "social security + healthcare".
A country who doesn't produce can't make money. And a country who doesn't produce items that are needed in it's domestic market is a dependent country, forever a slave of foreign industry, agents and interests.

Excellant idea. The Nation you describe sounds just like Britain. Years ago this Country started a shift from industry to a service based economy, everything for the 'city'. Now we are paying the price, industries more or less gone and the service economy is falling apart. But we'll be okay after all the poor, the sick, and the old can pay for the greed of the banks and their capitalist friends.

Yes this is very important. I would like to add that it must be pointed out that the 'West' generally if it had not outsourced it self to the colored world, could have had a veritable utopia on earth, as far as material wealth and its general distribution are concerned. The materials exist in the West even now if applied to our ends and not profits to the few to provide for all of us in a decent manner. We still have enough tools to retool, and retool we must.Leon Mcnichol wrote:I think it's important to have a topic concerning the importance of domestic industrial production, as opposed to the globalized system that is bankrupting nations in the west today, with the scapegoat being "welfare" and "social security + healthcare".
I agree with that above and again will only add that we must also reinvigorate our farming classes across the boards, as FOOD is the first and primary resource necessary for all other comfort to come. Not just in industrial production, which is important, but agriculturally we must be independent and not subject to coercion.A country who doesn't produce can't make money. The multi-national farming corporations need ended and their lands given to family concerns, who will be provided the proper start up capital necessary on some good terms. The destruction of valuable topsoil caused by their monoculture chemical intensive farming will end if and only if small farmers are given a personal stake in seeing the land is taken care of and that involves putting them on the land, which is good as we in the West do have a poor surplus urban population that would be at least in part, excellent for such a purpose.
This also would serve to encourage local economic growth to accommodate said small farms....etc. This would reinvigorate the small villages, regions and towns.
Of course at the same time the multi-nationals in industry would need expropriated on what ever basis so as to serve national ends and employ the body national. Their factories and capital stocks would be used just the same as before except under new management as it were, and would be the tools to remake our society. We will take what is left and rebuild from the ruins; because that is what we f'ing do.
Just these acts would house and employ millions of workers and their dependents that otherwise would be on the dole in one form or another. Talk about loyal supporters.
So not only would it provide for food, and agricultural raw materials it would gain the loyalty of millions of newly created freeholders and worker-owners as the case might be, who would have fire arms training in the course of things. Win Win.
