A Scientific Debate on Race and Intelligence
In the following video, Dr. J. Philippe Rushton presents his arguments in favor of a hereditarian explanation for racial variation in cognitive ability; Dr. Joseph Graves provides his rejoinder to Rushton. I encourage you to watch through all four speakers' lectures, but if you only care to follow Rushton and Graves, skip the video to 0:25:33. There is a question and answer session beginning at 1:28:20. Dr. Graves convincingly dismantles Rushton's conceptual framework, which Rushton has yet to adequately address.
Re: A Scientific Debate on Race and Intelligence
I watched this debate several months ago and was quite impressed with Joseph Graves's deconstruction of Rushton's misuse of r/K selection theory. I've wanted to read his books The Emperor's New Clothes: Biological Theories of Race at the Millennium and The Race Myth: Why We Pretend Race Exists in America since then, but haven't had the opportunity to as of yet.
For anyone interested in the race and intelligence debate, this video definitely worth viewing.
