In Britain the fuel tanker drivers have voted to go on strike over safety concerns. Our wonderful government has decided to use the army if necessary to move the fuel to the forecourts. Fear of fuel shortages has brought the following advice from the government, “fill a can” Good advice? Now the fire brigade has gone ballistic over safety concerns. Osborne, our magnificent chancellor, has slashed back at those concerned that VAT increases on hot food, will mean that the poorest will not be able to afford hot food. His reply, “they can eat cold pasties”. Reminiscent of a certain French Queen?
Someone I spoke to the other day from Suffolk, claims that it is now virtually impossible to get NHS treatment there. Oh the NHS pays, but private medicine receives the money.
Britain is almost, if not already, past the tipping point. The general answer – strike. But how many times can you cry wolf? And what’s the point of calling a strike that is anything less than total and for as long as it takes?

It gets worse;
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/fuel-talks-bid-stepped-over-panic-buying-035441816.html

The tanker drivers have to give seven days notice before strike action by law. No such notice has been given, but the queues for fuel at fuel stations is silly. Suddenly there is a fuel crisis caused by panic buying through fear of something that isn't happening yet. And all we get from this wonderfull coalition is more silly advice. Even to the point of them considering rationing.

The other day the government was discussing the likelyhood of extending marriage to gays, now nothing against gays, but is this important. The countries in deep shit, and what is this beloved government doing? discussing gay marriage.

Last week, with the government telling us how neccessary the austerity measures are, it was announced that Kensington Palace (once time home to dear dead Dianne, and soon to be home to the Cambridges, Wills and Kate) has been refurbished to a cost of twelve million pounds (and that's just the first stage). Guess who's paying for that? If you said the royal family, guess again.

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/government-attacked-fuel-dispute-153246331.html

Sales of petrol and diesel have increased dramatically as motorists flocked to garages to fill up following controversial advice from the Government ahead of a possible strike by fuel tanker drivers

Now there's a suprise. A cynic might think, look at all the tax the government is coining in. A dispute made in heaven.

Hmm, it would seem that cynicism may be catching.

Maybe Galloway's result in the Bradford by-election signals a change?

Well at least diesel vehicle owners are in luck, they all seemed to be full at the petrol stations we passed on the way to Sainsbury's today.

As for the gay marriage thing, I agree to a point, but if they weren't focusing on things like that they'd hardly be focusing a decent amount of attention on anything positive anyway. It is a waste of time discussing gay marriage in the UK at the moment though because Cameron and his disciples won't approve of it. Privatising the NHS, the police force and our roads? And there's us thinking they care about people -- ha!

On the contrary comrade, Camoron and his coterie will go for it, as will all the other parties. He's already said so. And to be fair he does know how it feels to be poor in Britain, just because he's a multi-millionaire doesn't stop him from reading Dickens to understand what it's like to be poor Rolling Eyes

How about this then?

The Home Office said: "It is vital that police and security services are able to obtain communications data in certain circumstances to investigate serious crime and terrorism and to protect the public."

So they are going to read the governments e-mails then, after all they are the biggest terrorists we have in Britain currently.

I've no idea why he would even pretend he doesn't have a problem with homosexuality, what with being a conservative and the whole deal about banning gay kissing on TV before the watershed. I'd say he's not openly against those things because it would make him look bad, but I don't see how he could make himself look any worse with everything he's already planning to do to the country.

We should've smelt this coming from a mile off, but oh no, we were too busy worrying about god knows what else. The only thing on my mind is whether or not all of this anti-people planning is simply going to be flushed like it was just a thought on the toilet. Haven't we already started with the internet dictatorship? I heard about people having to call their ISPs and actually ASK to have pornographic material unblocked.

He's a politician and they will do and say anyting (no matter how it sickens them) to increase their vote count, like Galloway in Bradford courting the Muslim vote (something all the parties do, then rant and rail when someone does it better). Remember once they have got your vote, they have four years to do what they like before they have to start making placatory noises again.

Well that's what I don't understand. I don't care how much Cameron loves gays, he could be a 110% homosexual himself and I still wouldn't even consider voting for him. Then again, people have no idea what politicians are really up to. My mum voted for him because a newspaper website quiz thing told her she should according to the answers she gave, which is probably worse than not voting, so it just goes to show how people have no idea what they're getting themselves into.
