Re: Greek People Send A Message To Prime Minister Papademos
I think that Greece will be a corner stone for the downfall of the Eurozone . After Greece declares bankruptcy it will cause a chain reaction of mass hysteria on the stock market which will shake up the already fragile economies of Italy , Ireland , Portugal and Spain and cause the disintegration of the European Union . If grassroots socialist movements make the most of this situation they should be able to create a strong foundation for building socialism in these nations .

The reason these grass roots socialist movements are not gaining any support during this crisis is becuse they are just pissing about alienateing the working class with the same old tierd dogmas.

I would agree with you that most of contemporary socialist grassroots movements are not doing their job effectively but grassroots movements have a large revolutionary potential if they are organized in the right way .
Grassroots movements should be mostly focused on creating a paradigm shift in small communities e.g. organizing lectures and demonstrations with skilled agitators to increase class and national conciouse and solidarity .
The second step would be an elimination of anti-social elements in the community (crimelords and bourgeoise) and implementation of small scale socialist economies in the area which has been cleared of anti social elements and which population mayority has achieved a paradigm shift towards socialism .
Now there is however a problem to this theory . Because we currently live in a globalized economy some portion of the community will be reliant on capital e.g. small "liberated" communities will be reliant on products from "non-liberated" (in which the capitalist mode of production is still in effect) communities until they achieve self-sufficiency . The solution to this problem lies in simuntaniously creating two separate but cooperative grassroots movements or 2 seperate groups in one movement which will "liberate" 2 or more communities e.g. one community whose area is largely populated but without means of production (urban zones) in it´s area and one area which has a large concentration of productive means and a small population(industrial zones and farming zones) in it´s area that can be liberated by the manpower recruited to the movement from both areas in order to achieve self-sufficiency for both communities .
The whole process of liberation should take about a year or two mainly depending on the amount of state repression and the willpower/skills of socialists in these communities .

Well neither am I , but I have been following the Greek mainstream and underground politics closely for a while .TheocWulf wrote:Fair enough but im not sure that any grassroots organisations out there anyway (Im not expert on Greek politics I might add)
And grassroots organizations in Greece have been established by cosmopolitan anarchists in various areas of Greece but they have had little success in implementing the theory listed above . I think it´s predominantly because of the lack of skilled leadership (which is common to anarchist groups who tend to reject authority and thus leadership virtually does not exist) in anarchist grassroots movements and the differences in ideological comprehension of anarchism e.g. anarchists in Greece have divided themselves in 3 large groupings : individual , social , mutualist anarchism .
All of the groups use large scale violence to acquire political power . Violence happens mainly at protest against the goverment and the financial crisis but acts of terrorism have been noted originating mainly from the individualist anarchist "camp" which has formed the Fire Nuclei cells which have attacked several goverment buildings and officials .
Communist on the other hand take part in mainstream politics mostly through the Marxist-Leninist K.K.E. which has won several seats in the Greek paralment and strongly acknowledges the national right for self-determenation . The K.K.E. also has a militant wing the All militant workers union "P.A.M.E." which it uses for organizing strikes and attacking borguise elements . P.A.M.E. and various anarchist groups have clashed several times in the past resulting in heavy injuries and deaths (there are several recorded clashes but I can´t post them for another seven days because of my membership status so look them up on youtube if you want to) .
And there are the nationalists who are mostly reactionary and are being used as an tool of the state to combat the Communist and Anarchists . But there are to be fair a number of groups which reject the cooperation with the state , adhere socialism and call themselves national revolutionary but they are largely young and disorganized for now .
