Wisconsin Election Results: David Prosser, JoAnne Kloppenburg Await Official Outcome In State Supreme Court Race
MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin's fight over union rights came to a head at the polls as voters split almost evenly over whether to re-elect a conservative-leaning justice or give his little-known opponent his seat on the state Supreme Court.
The race between Justice David Prosser and challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg was too close to call early Wednesday morning. With 99 percent of precincts reporting, Prosser led Kloppenburg by 835 votes. Final, official results could vary and a recount appeared likely.
The race reflected the divide in the state over Republican Gov. Scott Walker's collective bargaining law, which would strip public workers of nearly all their union rights. The issue, which could ultimately be decided by the state Supreme Court, propelled the relatively unknown Kloppenburg into prominence and heightened voter interest in the election.

This should be interesting. I'm frankly surprised the election is as close as it appears to be. [One would hope that the people of Wisconsin have had enough of plutocratic despots for a while.]

It is very unlikely that plutocracy will be overthrown by party politics since it thrives off it. I hope the American nation will instead wake up and abolish party politics.Admin wrote:MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin's fight over union rights came to a head at the polls as voters split almost evenly over whether to re-elect a conservative-leaning justice or give his little-known opponent his seat on the state Supreme Court.

I am in full agreement that party politics must be abolished in a post-capitalist society. I have been an advocate of a single-party state for some time now.
