I don't see the humor. God is an omniscient being who understands the divine wisdom of the (his) invisible hand in the market. If you don't financially invest in God, why should God provide his services? Heaven is not a destination for all. It is reserved for those who can pay their way in, such as church officials and the wealthy. These individuals have pleased God by living a life of painstaking effort and sacrifice. They have worked hard at ensuring that others work for them.

If you do not financially contribute to the church (the designated administrative institution of God's earthly deeds), because of low income, for example, then God cannot offer any assistance. He understands that universal coverage would lead to a drastic free rider problem (perhaps even to infinite demand!), and so he rationally concludes that it is not socially advantageous to divest himself of a small fraction of his limitless power in order to save the weak and lazy. After all, there is no such thing as a free lunch.

This story pisses me off. As wrong as it was to give their child a name like Adolf Hitler they deserve to have their own children and not be meddled with regardless of who they are.
