Maoist Rebel News

So, as this is just a section for general talk, I just want to ask a question here if I may. Am I the only person who finds Maoist Rebel News like really annoying and embarrassing?

His news coverage is pointless all he does is like read articles from websites like RT and then put his own "spin" on them at the end like "This is why Capitalism is bad guyz!". The guy is also really up his own ass, he gives the impression that he thinks he's really intelligent and superior to anyone else. His voice also gives the impression, with this incredibly irritating sarcastic tone he constantly uses in videos such as his "replies" to other YouTubers. He also conducts himself in an incredibly immature way, using "trolling" as his excuse. The guys "debunking videos" are also pretty poor and make him look kind of stupid to be honest.

So, does anyone else find him really annoying and embarrassing, or is it just me?

I find him as embarrassing as any other stalinist and I find his analysis to be lacking. On the whole though, I am not annoyed by it and don't hold it against him. I don't think that he is trying to be serious in a lot of his videos but that whole 'defend the DPRK' thing is painful. Having read some of Mao I don't see why anyone would think him a genius or even a role model.

By far, the 'defend the DPRK' thing probably shows how little he knows about communism in any sense.

Despite all that he seems like a nice guy and is probably pleasant enough.

Agreed. His defend DPRK thing should be classified as satire if you ask me. Although I think Mao is a good philosopher, despite all of his political blunders which have classified him the greatest murderer of all time.

His Fidel Castro costume is absolutely ridiculous, and his socioeconomic analysis is pitiful (to put it mildly). I also think it's unfortunate that he chooses to speak on behalf of communists when he has such a tenuous grasp on basic Marxian theory.

Still, I agree with Red Aegis in that I don't necessarily think he's a bad person. I would simply advise that he study more before attempting to seriously analyze the news of the day.

How does anyone take him seriously? I am actually subscribed to him, but not for his valuable contributions to Marxism or the contemporary left.

Also, the guy is hilarious to troll. A friend of mine made a fake webpage thing pretending to be MRN in a dating advert on craigslist and took a printscreen of it. I sent it to him on Facebook and he's like "I know who did this... it's an enemy. Don't speak to anyone about this." I was laughing so hard.

He looks like such a douche just randomly wearing a Soviet uniform. Hahahahaha that dating thing was pretty funny . Seriously though, "no cougars"?!

Honestly, I see this guy as the Bolshevik version of the stereotypical internet libertarian. A fool who believes himself to be intelligent and wise. Really, we need to stop this Bolshevik-fetishism that is so prevalent in the internet Left.

That and I am against Marxism-Leninism in all of its forms.

Gotta have cougars, man. I think he wears the uniform to repel the older women who grew up in the Soviet Union or were alive at that time.

I enjoy his commentary and videos, personally.
