Romney Cancels Campaign Credit Cards After Concession Speech, Leaves Staff Stranded

Well, GOP presidential loser, Mitt Romney (Pretty Mitty is what they call him), may not have been given the opportunity to fire Jim Lehrer and Big Bird, but he did manage to show his expertise — in a way that only Mittens can — in debt reduction.

Following his impromptu swan song after being blindsided by an election loss of historical proportions to incumbent, President Barack Obama, Romney canceled the failing campaign’s credit cards, leaving staffers stranded.
NBC’s Garrett Haake reports:
From the moment Mitt Romney stepped off stage Tuesday night, having just delivered a brief concession speech he wrote only that evening, the massive infrastructure surrounding his campaign quickly began to disassemble itself.
Aides taking cabs home late that night got rude awakenings when they found the credit cards linked to the campaign no longer worked.
Some might say let’s not vilify Ebenezer Romney because, hey, the campaign is over. So this clearly means the funds are no longer accessible, right?
Wrong.
Mitt Romney for President financial entity survives for as long as two more years, as bills are paid and FEC documents are filed.
So, while Mr. Tagg “Thinks He Bad Enough To Punch The President” Romney was driving his parents to their nice, comfy home, staffers who gave up months of their lives dreaming the impossible dream were left without cab-fare simply because RomCom didn’t want to foot the bill?
Sounds about right.
While some might call this an act of a greedy capitalist who is obviously thrilled that he no longer has to pretend like he gives a damn (*raises hand*), at least one person understands why Romney did it:
“Fiscally conservative,” sighed one aide the next day.
And morally conservative, as well.
