Interesting how the media always ties such poll numbers to matters utterly inane and irrelevant like the ratings of whores like the president and Congress. These whores fall orders from on high. No-one with half a brain ever expected them to do anything about this intractable crisis of capitalism. I never voted for this scumbag of a president since it was easy to see through all the "hope and change" bull. Hence I don't understand the present disillusionment. Democracy is exercised through mass confrontations with the citadels of power, through riots and demonstrations. Not passive voting for indistinguishable ruling-class-vetted candidates in a sham process. But I digress. Yes, the comments to the article are interesting.
Let's hope this pessimism and ill-feeling translate into a crisis of the legitimacy of the US state and a crisis of the legitimacy of the US ruling class.
