Re: Your favorite music from former communist bloc nations.
This isn't exactly my favorite song from the Red Army Choir, but it's quite good nonetheless (and the video is extremely inspirational):
"The Rider's March" is undoubtedly my favorite song from the Red Army Choir:
A few other great classics:
And, finally, the best national anthem of the former Eastern bloc belongs to the German Democratic Republic:
"From the ruins risen newly,
to the future turned, we stand.
Let us serve your good will truly,
Germany, our fatherland.
Triumph over bygone sorrow,
can in unity be won.
For we shall attain a morrow,
when over our Germany,
there is radiant sun,
there is radiant sun.
May both peace and joy inspire,
Germany, our fatherland.
Peace is all the world's desire,
to the peoples lend your hand.
In fraternity united,
we shall crush the people's foe.
Let all paths by peace be lighted,
that no mother shall again
mourn her son in woe,
mourn her son in woe.
Let us plough and build our nation,
learn and work as never yet,
that a free new generation,
faith in its own strength beget!
German youth, for whom the striving
of our people is at one,
you are Germany's reviving,
and over our Germany,
there is radiant sun,
there is radiant sun..."

Re: Your favorite music from former communist bloc nations.
These are some of the best-known revolutionary songs, and some are my personal favorites:
I argue that the best piece of music of any genre is the revolutionary song "Varshavianka", which originated in Russian-ruled Poland in the late 19th century and later spread to and became popularised by the Russian workers. It perfectly describes the essence of our struggle. Here's an excellent German version of the song. The song is perhaps better known in Spain as "A las barricadas".
Hostile storm winds are raging around
Dark forces fiercely attack us
In volent struggle we're locked with the enemy
Unknown fates still await us
But we'll raise proudly and boldly
Another great song is "Boldly Comrades, in Step" [Смело товарищи, в ногу]. The melody originated in Germany, with lyrics written by a Russian revolutionary poet.
Boldly, Comrades, keep in step!
Our spirits will strengthen in struggle
To the realm of freedom a road
With our might we'll build for ourselves.
We all come from the people
Children of the toiling folk
Fraternal union and Freedom
That's our battle ensign
One of my personal favorites "Far Across a Broad stream" [Там, вдали, за рекой]
Beautiful military song from the movie "Tractors"
Russian revolutionary sailor song, performed in German

Not exactly communist, but the tune is, and it views the Soviet period positively. Also, very nationalist and inspirational.
This one is communist...

Does SFRY count?
Sarlo Akrobata, Haustor, Azra, Prljavo kazaliste, and a bunch of other bands from then, really great stuff, funkish rock and punk, some reggae and ska, I love that stuff:
