What I'm really trying to say is that each nation has to develop its own form of socialism and there is no one size fits all version, but there are ceratin principles or pillars each individual organisation should adhere to. Perhaps North Korea is the wrong example. Certainly one of the most inspirational figures in my view is Hugo Chavez in Venezuela.

Why?

The central goal is power. Chavez has refused to actually smash the capitalist class.

Look at Britain in the 60s and 70s when the working class was very strong- because they didnt push through to take power Thatcher came along and set us back decades.

We have to get rid of the social-engineers and the military-industrial-complex. Clear out the whole senior civil service and get rid of the business interests otherwise we will just end up back where we started from. That is the lesson of history.

Why Hugo Chavez? Name me one other world leader that has brought hope to so many people in recent years? Admittedly Raul is doing a decent job in Cuba, but what is happening in Venezuela is acting as a beacon across South America and for other countries across the world. His recent re-election will usher in more reforms to further restrict the powers of those you mention.

You may ask why didn't Chavez sweep aside the capitalist class immediately? If he had there would have been a US Government initiated coup against him which would have brought down the PSUV government and replaced it with a 'puppet' regime probably led by some right wing general. Venezuela could not count on military assistance capable of defeating any US Government inspired coup, and I do not think today an 'International Brigade' of volunteers could be created to fight against what would be mercenaries funded and trained by the US military. Chavez has taken the democratic route whereby any coup against him will be denounced.

Regarding events in Britain - I agree the working class did not push hard enough in the 60's and 70's, but I think external events such as Czechoslovakia and internal splits within political parties on the left (some no doubt engineered by the establishment) was the reason for this.
