It is astounding to realize that despite their extremely high GDP, India's poverty rates are some of the worst in the world. Their caste system makes sure of this. I recently wrote a paper on everything mentioned in this article; the conditions there truly are disturbing in every way and the atrocities that still manage to occur there never fail to shock me.
