Critical Theory with Rick Roderick
Critical Theory with Rick Roderick
Rick Roderick (1949–2002) was a exceptionally gifted professor of philosophy, whose academic interests were primarily critical theory and other schools of continental philosophical thought. The son of a Wobbly father and beautician mother, Roderick grew up in West Texas and eventually partook in the anti-war movement during the United States' imperial venture in Vietnam. Though he didn't have a long life, he left behind an extensive and highly informative lecture series.
The following videos are among my personal favorites from that series. Please feel free to discuss any of the topics he addresses and include your own favorites.
