David Schweickart debates the rotund simpleton, Tony Katz — whose only recourse is to filibuster Schweickart at every available opportunity.

I'm glad to see that Russia Today has begun to invite more radical guests on to their programs, such as David Schweickart and Richard Wolff. It would be excellent if they included Michael Albert or Robin Hahnel on future panels, though I'm unsure how willing either of them would be to do so.

I believe it was Noam Chomsky who had said that allowing socialist activists to speak on television or radio newscasts today may not be that beneficial, since it takes a longer amount of time to articulate a critique of capitalism (let alone adequately explain the socialist alternative) in the allotted time most news programs provide. (It obviously takes a relatively shorter amount of time for mainstream liberal and conservative pundits to simply regurgitate talking points in defense of the status quo.) Consequently, radical positions would be easy to distort and misrepresent by the media, thereby leading to the public dismissing the guest's socialist or communist views as being 'absurd.'

This was worth watching just for that Tea Party sh!thead Katz, who looks and sounds completely incongruous in such august company.

I need to study sociology so I can pretend to be a badass intellectual like Louis.

I also love the way Katz starts shaking his head with a look of shock on his face when Schweickart starts talking about Marx around 13:00
