Marxist political economist Miniqi Li (author of the excellent book The Rise of China and the Demise of the Capitalist World-Economy) speaks with Paul Jay of the Real News Network about a recent debate within the Communist Party of China, wherein an emerging Left faction is proposing a different model for Chinese economic development. Li also briefly discusses an encouraging Maoist mass movement gaining traction in China.

It would be great not only for China but socialism in general if a socialist turn would happened there since China already went through the capitalist stage unlike in 1949, although i think that the probabilities are few of that turn happening.
