I think if we aim to attract people, we need to at least open our forum to at least be read by visitors. That way they can gauge whether they want to join, otherwise they may think there is nothing here to read.

The danger with that is an open forum allows those who wish us harm to visit then make allegations to the owners of the Forum (Forumotion) about any 'unaceptable' content. With the result we could quickly find the forum closed down. I do agree about the nature of a closed forum being restrictive to debate but that is the peril of using a free forum.

I was wondering if we should make the "educational videos/material" thread open to guests? It could sway people to register, if they find that material interesting, and it's not a high risk, since those videos and books are avaliable on other sites/shops/etc.

Right now, I think the best way to spread word about this forum is one-on-one word of mouth, after you've gauged these persons elsewhere. Don't be in a big hurry to rush them over here...find out if they are ripe and ready and serious, and then whisper our address to them. Why whisper? Because if you go elsewhere---especially online---and you announce generally "hey everyone, come over to our revolutionary socialist and nationalist forum", not only will we give the misleaders who currently control those arenas elsewhere a premature heads-up about their emergent competition, but then these misleaders will run around doing everything they can to keep their support base from coming over and/or they will send over folks just to make trouble. Keep the misleaders in the dark for as long as possible. Let the misleaders find out about us only after it is too late for them to keep us sidelined onto the fringe. Then, when the misleaders try to take countermeasures, it will generally harm them and help us.

This idea sounds the best, this way we can present our views in a clear, direct way without having to view through many threads and have to kind of "feel" their way to what we are trying to represent.

Do we have any good pieces of work and/or videos that state who and what we are, what we represent and our views etc... ?

This is a relatively old thread. The RSF has secured a permanent domain for this forum. We don't have to worry about being restricted. The entire forum is open to the public at this point.

That is good news, but perhaps we can still make a quick, clear video that new guests can see to get a idea of we are? I still think this would be a great recruiting tool, especially when we are trying to recruit new members.
