It would seem that the term "progressive nationalism" needs further definition. Still at least the response wasn't a pointing figure and a cry of "Narziiiii".

Now, as far as that group you linked to, I have to admit they are a strange lot. First, the name of the forum, "Socialist Phalanx", reeks of the historical phalangists - i.e. fascists (for example, I don't think anyone could deny that the Spanish Falange was a fascist organization). But that's just an impression, and their FAQ explicily denies any relationship to Fascism and even mentions corporatism as something they are against. They also denounce ethnic chauvinism and racism, as well as imperialism. It may very well be that this group represents a residue of the worship of national culture(s) as important part of a person's identity and thus upholds, as they put it, "progressive nationalism". They really do not explain what do they mean by that term, other than "anti-capitalist".

Where did you find the RevLeft quote?

That's a retarded comment. First of all, the term 'Socialist Phalanx' was inspired by Fourier's initial application of the term. In our context, it is meant to denote socialist unity for revolutionary purposes. (I suppose I will now have to specify this in the FAQ, in order to put the minds of such confused characters at ease.) Needless to say, to use the term 'phalanx' as some sort of implication of crypto-fascism is akin to arguing that the United States government is 'fascist' because of the aesthetic application of fasces (symbols) by various state institutions.
That individual's hypersensitivity towards such superficial associations is typical of the puritanical nonsense one comes to expect from many petit bourgeois 'leftists'.
With respect to the last point made by 'Menocchio', for purposes of this forum, it's impossible to provide a singular definition for progressive nationalism due to its inherently pluralistic nature. Of course, there are general parameters, but numerous tendencies could potentially integrate them into their respective ideologies. As such, I'm only in a position to comment on the question from the perspective of a Revolutionary Syndicalist. And since this is not an exclusively Revolutionary Syndicalist forum, the answer is inapplicable.

These simple individuals see all forms of nationalism as mere "fascism." It's actually rather laughable. How dense must one be in order to interpret all movements that display even a degree of national and ethnic affiliation as somehow fascistic? They are not unlike the reactionaries who label even the humblest of reforms proposed for capitalism as "communist," "socialist," or "Marxist." Pathetic.
In my view, "progressive nationalism" is a relative term. It must be understood in relation to what is reactionary in exactly the same manner that progressivism is but a general term for a political disposition favoring change and reform but that harbors no practical significance until it is compared to the status quo. To ask "what is progressive nationalism?" is to ask what we stand for in distinction to reactionary nationalism, and I believe that Admin has already provided a substantial answer to that both in this thread and the forum FAQ: we stand for nationalism founded upon a revolutionary socialist bedrock that eschews ethnic chauvinism, imperialism, economic exploitation, and animus toward different national ethnic groups, amongst many other invariable factors, all of which differentiate our brand of nationalism from the bourgeois variant.
It is pointless to attempt to define progressive nationalism in abstract terms, as its only true abstract meaning is one of a form of nationalism that seeks to alter, or "revolutionize," the dominant, existing current of nationalism.
This is why I have never even bothered opening an account on RevLeft, as the membership is only rivaled in its sheer ignorance and small-minded perspective by Stormfront, which is ironic to say the least. I rarely even peruse the content generated by those dimwitted clowns.

Great video, comrade. My only criticism is that the font color used is too light for the background, and this makes it somewhat difficult to discern. The color should be changed to a darker scheme.

The color of the font? Or the color of the background? Thank you though

Thank you comrade, excellent work.
I agree with 'Revolutionary Wolf' about the Font colour, but brilliant work. Give yourself a gold (or red) star.

I just noticed, the "Socialist-Nationalist" video has over a 1000 views, yet still links to the now non-existent SF socialist group.
