Leftist Rhetoric Empty Leftist Rhetoric

Post by HomelessArtist Wed Oct 01, 2014 8:53 pm

Some time ago in the trashcan that is reddit's r/Socialism I saw a thread, the guys was saying that the left should change their rhetoric from "anti-this and anti-that" to "pro-this and pro-that" and that was sound in  me.
I problem I have with libral pseudo socialists and with liberals in general is that they think everybody speaks the same language as them and just saying anti-something encapsulates a whole political program.

Later I saw this image:
Leftist Rhetoric VXgtxpU

And the subject of rhetoric come to me.
How do pseudo-leftist communicate with the working class? Specially on this scenario.
What does the pseudo-leftist say: I am here to tell you about the bad conditions of this mine and the damage it does to the envoirment, if you all sign this petition we may coinvice the bos to change that
What do the miners hear:—

So how will I comunicate to the miners? Well, I don't expect them to be smart or share an ideological ground but I do expect them to be religious or have any sort of superstition. So if I wanted them to organize I¡ll say: I come from the church of the well being of the people because I was told the miners where being prey upon by the devil, taking their hard erned money claming he's the boss of this place.

That is inflamatory and motivates the passions, just what moves the workers.

We should talk about this:
Whats wrong with the rhetoric the current 'left' uses and what should we do to fix it.
