Yes, because Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, and John Jay along with the rank-and-file minutemen were slave-owners. And, the British definitely weren't involved in the slave trade at the time. And, other political entities that represent nations were definitely not formed by the local elites. And, those taxes definitely were made with the consent of the locals and not by some far-away parliament that doesn't even allow representatives from their land. And, it's not like Enlightenment ideas were an important influence on the American Revolution and that those ideas would help spark the French Revolution which in turn essentially helped spread liberalism whilst watering the roots of socialism. Not that America helped pioneer the republican form of government in a world of monarchies.

Sorry, I just see that argument a lot from the more cosmopolitan parts of the left. Really, Revleft actually seriously says that.

But, I should REALLY learn that lesson. Honestly, I'm starting to know how it feels like to be on the other side of the trolling experience.
