The Jimmy Saville Affair
Firstly, this is certainly not a diversion of the class struggle, the deep moral decay and corruption of the ruling class must be exposed.
Right-wingers absurdly claim the BBC is "leftist" or has a "left-wing bias", whilst in actuality the BBC have slandered previous socialist nations and leaders and continue to attack the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, as well as attacking the trade union movement. The BBC, far from being "impartial", conforms entirely to the establishment line and fawns over the royal family. They are also the most pro-war broadcasters and rarely interview anyone critical of these occupations.
This organisation has protected right-wing Thatcherite pervert and pal of the royals for decades; other right-wing creeps such as Jim Davidson have also been arrested in the wake of this scandal. The police do not come out this well either...

Well I think by now we know that attacking the DPRK is hardly exclusive to non-leftists.
I do find it funny though how "leftist" is used as graffiti for anything that isn't hardcore conservative or anyone who doesn't drool over the Queen. Pro-capitalist drivel is everywhere trying to keep the door open for stupidity, and the BBC is nothing new to this.

I only have one question. How could anyone not tell that this individual was a pedophile?

Re: The Jimmy Saville Affair
He had too many 'friends' in high places. He was a beloved icon of various charities, who raised so much money for good causes that he made himself 'untouchable'. Not only was he favoured by politicians, including his 'beloved' Thatcher, but he was on best terms with members of the royal family.
Many had their supicions over his nature, but they were to scared to speak up.
Once the stories about Saville have been laid to rest, and a few 1970s celebrities thrown to the wolves, it will be finished and those in high places who knew, and even indulged his prediliction, will remain untouched.
Remember it isn't what you know, it's who you know and Saville, as so many others, knew all the right people.
I don't believe in the christian religion, but in this case I fervently hope that Dante was right and there is a special place in hell for people like him.

Re: The Jimmy Saville Affair
With Leon Brittan's name on that list it is no wonder the dossier went missing http://www.theguardian.com/global/2014/jul/06/leon-brittan-dossier-cover-up-fears
The establishment is rotten to the core.
Interestingly, leading British neo-nazi Colin Jordan is also listed. Strange bedfellows

Personally, I don't give a fuck if he (or anyone else) is gay. I just have a problem with child abuse.

I'm pretty sure all three things, the Westminster-wide paedophile scandal, Hague's own scandal (which was, and is, really nothing at all; just media conjecture) and the re-shuffle, are totally disconnected. Hague, if you've seen him in recent interviews (within the past few years), often appears very tired and his time as foreign minister has been pitiful; I imagine he's settling back into what he's best at (debating in the chamber) and, then, probably standing down come 2020.
Also, I should point out that the tendency to conflate homosexuality with paedophilia is unhealthy; a lot of the reason few took Geoffrey Dickens, the MP who compiled the, now missing, paedophile-ring dossier, particularly seriously was because he ranted and raved about gays and Satanists (the former being no threat to children and the latter barely existing at all).
EDIT: And there we go, I hadn't even picked up on what Hague's move was all about: he is tired and he is standing down.
