Libertarias (1996)

Libertarias is a historical fiction set during the anarcho-syndicalist revolution in Spain. It tells the story of a young nun, Maria, who is liberated (well, depending on your perspective) from her convent by CNT/FAI militiamen in 1936, and who comes to assist the Mujeres Libres during the Spanish Civil War.

Although the writing can be a bit unusual at times, and the plot could have been structured far better than it was, I still found the movie enjoyable.
