Life is Probably a Video Game
Interesting food for thought. People often parody this idea with the image of God playing an arcade game or something of the sort, then running out of coins before the grande finale. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if this was how life works.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of solipsism. I prefer empirical evidence to rampant speculation that empiricism is a hoax. It just may be but there is nothing to prove that. If there's no evidence for it I don't believe it.

I do not find this particularly profound. Even in my early philosophical inquiries I realized that what we define as "reality" is entirely subjective. Postmodernism only reinforced this idea. Solipsism is a wholly credible theory, as there is no "objective" reality independent of ourselves. Such is my position.
Speculating upon possible "simulated" realities is, however, pointless and insipid.

I can never take the prospect of a simulated universe seriously. Not because it isn't possible... I just wonder why a simulated reality would be so dull and monotonous.
I mean sure... Farmville is dull and monotonous. But that's because it's just a scheme to make money subtly. So unless the entire point of the simulated universe is to keep our minds and souls bottled up in a very tight space... I would think a simulated universe could do so much more and we'd all be throwing fireballs and summoning zombie hordes like World of Warcraft.
Which could still be used as a means to suppress the mind. But at least we'd be having some illusion of fun in our enslavement. I'm not having fun.
