My Lyrics - "This Country's A Crime" / "Monstor" (political/political overtones) Empty My Lyrics - "This Country's A Crime" / "Monstor" (political/political overtones)

These are some of my songs that I have yet to put/find music for. However, I've had a melody going through my head, I think it's a pentatonic scale for "Monstor". If anyone is interested in putting music to any of these songs, or perhaps singing them, let me know. Of course, I would like to sing them myself, but if the opportunity does not arise, then I would like for someone else to.

Also, if there are any suggestions on tweaking the lyrics...

"Mosaic"

You're disturbed from the beauty of the mosaic,
Well, leave your dirt at the door,
There's already broken glass
And I don't want to be stained
From all of your pollution

The beautiful arrangement of the pieces
Makes you want to scramble it up for your amusement,
Fascinated...wanton...toxic, I guess you'll never learn
You can't steal your deficit

The Artist is at work and you'd never see the cracks
Did you ever see what can be done with trash?
As I rot on the outside, I'm being renewed on the inside
A splash of colors royale, orange and blue
Don't you want to know where this sunflower came from?

She's so strong, why can't we break her?
Same old story, rhetoric of the masses, the commoner,
But I'm the great masterpiece,
Don't you want to know where this wildflower came from?

"Monstor"

it's too bad that you're not real
but it's sad that you can't feel
i think you should go on disability
you know it takes a village
ignore your pain
be indifferent to yourself
ignorance is no excuse
...Monstor
it's the life you chose
i'm not the catalyst for your self-fulfilling prophecy
dream some more
be a little more creative with your thoughts
you're a monstor to yourself and others
you revel in your machoism
and your thick skin
it's your security blanket
but it can't keep you warm at night
don't spread your message
to anymore women
the effects will be more widespread
you say it's quality time
i say it's time, period
and your words have no substance to back them up
13 hours a day you give to your career [you anti-social f***] live version
your macho muscles are pumped up
and your heart is hard
when you return from work
but they love you there
the overtime and the weekends have never been an issue
they know your family
will never hinder what they seek from you
your fake emotion
and gestures with intent to deceive sicken me
as i watch the humanity disappear
i see the monstor getting bigger and bigger
...Monstor
it's the life you chose
i'm not the catalyst for your self fulfilling prophecy
dream some more
be a little more creative with your thoughts
you're a monstor to yourself and others
Keep your weapons of mass destruction
away from the world

On this next song, Bright Star, I think I have a chorus: 'did you have a keeper, a brother, sister, or a friend', and I want to edit the second and third line.

"Bright Star"

bright star i represent you
it's for you who committed suicide
it's for those of you who didn't fit in
why am i able to see in these minds
and not go down in the abyss
what's my sparkle
what's your shine
the glow you leave behind...
stays with me always
it's my life's work to never quit
never give up and never lose faith
i represent you on the art project i won't quit
i represent you on the song i'm going to sing
i represent you on the drawing i haven't conceived yet
i'm standing on the edge looking down
i see you spiraling down
with your arms up and outstretched
your body hit the bottom
but your star went right up
it was too bright and too strong to stay down
a bright, glisteny, silver, sparkling star
a (rock) star i now have to be
i wish i could've heard you sooner

"This Country's A Crime"

I'm startin' to think this country's a crime
Colonization, deracination, it's become one in the same
It could be this country's a crime

Political correctness for the masses
The new Authority, imposed
Know your place, prove it, institutionalized submission
Know your place, say it, and never expand your reach

Everything's set for you, all the rules
But this isn't structure, this isn't culture
I'm startin' to think this country's a crime

Jurisprudence long faded
Work first, relationships come last is the policy
Amazing technology to advance our lives
Ten...maybe twenty more years
Profit for the Corporate Capitalists, from our menial labor

This constitution constitutes a crime
A country of boredom, of decay
A country of nothingness
It could be this country's a crime

I'm startin' to think this country's a crime
Colonization, deracination, it's become one in the same
It could be this country's a crime

You've been colonized [spoken harshly, fade out]
