The Next Step Empty The Next Step

As we all look to develop a vehicle to move forward, how do people think this can be done?

Could we do this by building -

The Socialist Phalanx on an International basis, with affiliated groups in different countries.
Eco-Nationalism
Democratic Socialism
Progressive Nationalism
Autonomous Nationalism or some other way?

What do people think?

We need to fight the idea that there is a middle class; then we can move to whatever demsoc parties did a century ago to advance their programs.
And we need to recover strong unions.

This! Absolutely this! Electoral politics can only serve as a supplement to economic warfare. The western ruling classes have had nothing serious to contend with for at least a whole generation.

We need to develop technology that renders the capitalist mode of production and wealth-accumulation obsolete.

There is no other way, without falling into Shared Poverty.

I think we should work within our own home countries, building our own movements as well as working within existing organisations.  This forum provides a great opportunity to share information and ideas across the world and I would hope that different national organisations would be able to come together here and affiliate internationally whilst maintaining their own organisational independence.

Perhaps members here could begin by sharing the activism they are working on in their home countries and some of the basic tenets along which lines they would be willing to affiliate.

I'm currently working on Autonomous England, as has already been posted on SP.  We stand for socialism, decentralised democracy and ecology. We thoroughly reject both racism and globalisation.

Just playing with ideas... a possible name and banner to work together under.

This could apply to organisations based on patriotic socialist principles or individuals and members of existing left-wing groups who share the same outlook.

Out of interest... What is the current status of the Revolutionary Syndicalist Front? Is there a written programme we can refer to?
