The Myth of Cultural Marxism

Post by Rev Scare on Wed May 13, 2015 6:44 pm

When surveying the reactionary blogosphere, comrades, you might encounter a very peculiar social theory about the origins and progression of Western capitalism's present cultural malaise. This explanation has been termed "cultural Marxism." The basic narrative is that a group of radical European intellectuals, many of whom were Jewish, associated with the Frankfurt School, which concerned itself with the study of Freud, Marx, and other influential thinkers, concocted a devious plan by which they would substitute a cultural war of attrition for Marxist class struggle in order to attain social power. In other words, they replaced the Marxist Klassenkampf by a neo-Marxist Kulturkampf. They would subvert Western civilization by promoting values and behaviors antithetical to those of conservatives, which would create a political and social climate more conducive to furthering their interests. This shift in strategy proved so successful that Western gentile cultural elites, either through naive goodwill or traitorous motivation, rapidly internalized these ideas, indoctrinating new generations of university students with pernicious critical theory, and leading to various social engineering projects like feminism, multiculturalism, LGBTQ+ rights, and political correctness, as well as the ascendance of a hypersexual raunch culture and other social pathologies. This anti-Semitic conspiracy theory has been given a more sophisticated evolutionary explanation by psychologist Kevin MacDonald in his book The Culture of Critique: An Evolutionary Analysis of Jewish Involvement in Twentieth-Century Intellectual and Political Movements, which represents these efforts of subversive social engineering by Jewish intellectuals as a kind of unconscious group survival strategy conditioned by the evolutionary history of the Jewish people.

Fortunately, a comprehensive refutation of this asinine myth can be found in the article linked below. It might have already been linked somewhere in this section, but I believe that the subject matter warrants its own thread. This is a fairly common worldview you might encounter when dealing with paleoconservative types, comrades, so if you do encounter this myth, contribute to the task of discrediting it by referencing the excellent article that follows.
