Reformism Strikes New York City Empty Reformism Strikes New York City

In the usually abysmal news of local urban politics, it is usually quite an occasion when municipal governments actually try to do something. Of course, this doesn't strike at the core problem of captialism itself, but at least things are going forwards. Of course, the new Democratic mayor, Bill de Blaiso, has been doing some disagreeable things such as boycotting the St. Patrick's Day parade due to the ban on gay-pride symbols despite the ban applying to all non-relevant symbols.

Of course, I have no support for this person, but we can safely say that this is a slightly better outcome than having yet another Republican mayor. Now, let's see if we can start something ourselves to break the grip of the two parties eventually.

A very short-term outcome in any case.
